Five key Manchester United players set to miss clash against Barcelona

Five clubs express interest in signing ‘formidable dribbler’ Noam Emeran after breakout performance

Manchester United youngster Noam Emeran produced an impactful 45 minute performance in Oslo as the Red Devils beat Leeds.

Young prospect Noam Emeran stole the show in Manchester United’s pre-season friendly win over Leeds, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

It is a much-needed jolt for the French winger, who signed a new contract in 2022 and then spent the first part of last season battling injuries.

He ended the campaign strongly, netting four goals in his last three games, and has picked up where he left off. Now there are teams queuing up for his signature.

Noam Emeran loan interest

Describing the 20-year-old as a ‘formidable dribbler’, is it claimed Belgian side Anderlecht are keen along with French club Strasbourg.

English Championship clubs Sunderland and Coventry City are also interested, while Erik ten Hag may recommend keen Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

Amad spent last season on loan at Sunderland and United were impressed with his development, so that one could be one to watch.

It is also claimed that other unnamed clubs from Belgium are ready to compete with Anderlecht for his signature.

Emeran’s decisive impact early on in pre-season has certainly put him in the shop window and he may not have been a player Ten Hag was counting on, so it is possible a loan deal is agreed this month.

Emeran had hoped for loan last year

Noam Emeran signed a contract extension last year which runs to 2024 with an option to extend to 2025.

Footmercato had claimed Augsburg, Werder Bremen and Nantes were keen to take him on loan, but no deal materialised.

Whether the offers just weren’t made, or fitness issues prevented a deal, or United simply wanted him to stick around another year, Emeran was left without a move.

This is unlikely to be the case this summer after his headline-making impact this week. A queue of clubs is building and Emeran is clearly ready to test himself at a new level.
