A new Everton contract is signed by a 23-year-old as per the agreed-upon parameters.

Done Deal completed as Goodison Park lease agreement between Everton and Billy crellin is signed

Billy Crellin’s new deal with Everton runs through the end of June 2025, the club has announced.

On Wednesday [20 September], The Toffees made the new agreement official on their website.

Since moving from Fleetwood Town to the Toffees in January 2022, Crellin has been a part of the U21 and U23 teams.

After agreeing to new terms, the 23-year-old, who has not yet played for the senior team, said: “I’m over the moon to be extending my time here.

We are all Evertonians, therefore it means the world to me and my family.

Crellin Sets Goals After Dream Everton Move

Crellin may be waiting for his moment to shine at the first-team level, but the U21s have taken notice of him.

The Blackpool native made an impression by preserving a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers during the midweek EFL Trophy match.

While it is encouraging to have an Everton supporter on the team’s books, Crellin is scarcely a child today.

In fact, he will be 24 at the start of the following season.

When the loan market opens in January, it makes perfect sense for the goalkeeper to spend some time abroad before maybe contending for a spot on the team in 2024–25.

Barring relegation to the Championship, Jordan Pickford is without a doubt the best goalkeeper, and that situation does not appear to be changing anytime soon.

The competition from Andy Lonergan and Joao Virginia must be usurped by Crellin in the current order of importance.

He can only accomplish it by illuminating areas other than Goodison Park.

In other Everton news, a troubling report says that the Toffees may enter administration over the next few months.
