Daniel Jones Injury Update: Giants QB ‘Ready’ To Take On Full Workload Before Gameweek

It has been reported, that Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will attend full practice reps on Wednesday with no restrictions, as head coach Brian Daboll shared.

Jones has been cleared for contact and is projected to be on the squad list on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

He had missed the last three games since Oct. 6 after suffering a neck injury in a Week 5 game against the Dolphins.

Two weeks ago, listed as a limited participant now he has been finally issued clearance for contact from team doctors, allowing him to practice fully on Wednesday.

Head coach Brian Daboll shared with the media

“He’s been out here throwing, so he’ll have his full workload this week, Once he’s cleared, he’s ready to go. I’m sure he could if he needed to, but I think he’s good to go.”

Jones also said on Wednesday, via Matt Citak of the team website

“I had been progressing last week. I felt good about where I was headed. I didn’t know exactly how it was going to go Sunday before the game, but I felt good. I felt like I was progressing well.”

He added,

“I’m excited. Excited to be back in the swing of things and going through the week preparing to play. So yeah, I’m excited to be back. I feel good. I feel recovered. I’ve had a few weeks here not playing, so I used that to stay in shape. But excited to be back.”

Jones’ return came just in time when backup QB Tyrod Taylor was rushed to the hospital with a rib cage injury at Hackensack Medical Center.
