Alvin Kamara Will Sign With The Kansas City Chiefs In Massive Trade Proposal
New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara could be dealt this offseason if the team decides to go into a rebuild. They have many pieces with a lot of value, which could generate a ton of interest around the NFL. New Orleans attempted to go all in this past offseason after signing quarterback Derek Carr and running back Jamal Williams to large deals, but it has not led to success in 2023. Now, the Saints are predicted to hypothetically trade their biggest star to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024, which would shake up the entire NFL world.
New Orleans has had issues with the offensive line this season, and the defense has been average at best. With aging players all around and newer players with all the potential in the world, it might be time for the team to clean the house and begin the rebuilding phase. It seems that a lot of the players and coaches are not on the same page this season, which has led to a disappointing 2023 so far for the Saints.
Kamara would certainly provide the largest value on the team, which could be good for New Orleans if they want to relieve some cap space. The star has one of the highest salaries in the league amongst other running backs, which could give the team more options in free agency. Many think that he could be the league’s best in his position if he was playing with an elite quarterback, someone like Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs have not had an elite runner since Mahomes took over as the starter back in 2018. Current running back Isiah Pacheco has been showing off his potential, though, which could serve as a great younger piece for New Orleans. Bringing in Kamara to Kansas City would give Mahomes and the Chiefs offense a much better look, and they could even involve him in their passing game as the current Saint is one of if not the best receiving back in the league.
