Kristjaan Speakman issues Jobe Bellingham dressing room verdict at Sunderland
Sunderland’s Sporting Director, Kristjaan Speakman, has praised Jobe Bellingham in a recent Q&A.
Kristjaan Speakman has overseen a youth revolution at the Stadium of Light, this sees Sunderland with the youngest team in the Championship.
Jobe Bellingham was signed during the summer for just £3m from Birmingham, a move which already looks to be a steal.
He was on one of 11 signings made in the summer, yet Bellingham has been ranked as the best in our rankings.
Now, Speakman has gave his verdict on Bellingham’s start to life in the north of England and in particular has praised his quick adaption to Sunderland.
Speakman on Jobe Bellingham
Speaking with Red & White Army during a Q&A, Speakman was asked how excited the club are about Jobe.
To this, he replied: “Great individual and bought into the club ethos.”
Continuing, Speakman said: “[He’s] settled into the squad and dressing room really well.”
Many at the Stadium of Light envision Bellingham as having a huge future, including Jack Clarke who sees a very bright future for Bellingham.
Sunderland’s youth policy continues to work
Sunderland’s emphasis on youth has led to an incredible redemption arc for the club as a whole.
Currently with the lowest squad age in the Championship, the Black Cats have gone from strength to strength.
Promoted in 2022 from League One, the rise has been rapid to the point that Sunderland are playoff favourites.
We are looking forward to seeing the new Sunderland continue developing with the prized jewel of Jobe at the centre of it all.
