Erol Bulut urges Cardiff City players to take more risks and aim for the top in punchy monologue - Wales Online

Blackburn Rovers predicted team against Cardiff City

Here’s The Lancashire Telegraph’s best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Cardiff City in the Championship.

Goalkeeper

Leopold Wahlstedt will continue in goal with Aynsley Pears injured. The goalkeeper kept a clean sheet last time out against Queens Park Rangers.

Defence

Jon Dahl Tomasson has decisions to make at full-back. James Hill performed well at right-back at Coventry and QPR, making it difficult to leave him out.

Callum Brittain deserves to be in the team too, whether that be at left-back or more advanced down the right, which worked well at Loftus Road. Then there’s Joe Rankin-Costello to consider, if he’s not in midfield, and Harry Pickering

I think Tomasson might go with the more attacking option of putting Brittain at left-back with Hill on the right. Hayden Carter and Dom Hyam will be the centre-backs.

Midfield

There is competition for places in midfield too with Adam Wharton fit again. Lewis Travis hasn’t started the last two either and will be chomping at the bit.

Sondre Tronstad and Rankin-Costello have the shirts at the moment. I think Tomasson will stick with the personnel that beat QPR with Wharton on the bench despite returning to full fitness.

Attack

Tomasson has Niall Ennis back in contention to play down the middle but confirmed he won’t start whilst Harry Leonard won’t be risked. Tyrhys Dolan did very well against QPR and looks set to continue down the middle with Semir Telalovic another options off the bench.

Arnor Sigurdsson will be on the left and so the question mark is on the right wing. If Brittain is at full-back, you’d expect Dilan Markanday to start again with Andrew Moran on the sidelines for this match.

Blackburn Rovers (4-3-3): Wahlstedt; Hill, Carter, Hyam, Brittain; Tronstad, Rankin-Costello, Szmodics; Markanday, Sigurdsson, Dolan.
