Phil Hay shares what Daniel Farke said about Joe Rodon ahead of Leeds United v Leicester City
Daniel Farke has issued an update on Joe Rodon after the Leeds United defender picked up an injury v Huddersfield Town on 28 October.
The Tottenham Hotspur loanee could not play the entire game and was withdrawn in the second half for Liam Cooper.
Leeds ended up comfortably winning the game 4-1 in front of their home fans at Elland Road
The Athletic’s Phil Hay wrote on Twitter, “Farke doesn’t think Rodon’s injury is major. Hopeful that he’ll be okay for Leicester away. ‘I’m carefully optimistic’.”
Good news
The injury did not look serious on first viewing but it’s hard to say until the official word comes from the club.

He did not appear to be in excruciating pain or anything of the sort and even walked off the pitch without needing any assistance.
Given where Leeds were in the game, it wasn’t even needed for him to carry on, especially when there are options in reserve.
He’ll perhaps be given an extra day off but there’s a good chance that he’s back in good time to train ahead of the Leicester game.
The Foxes are in red hot form and Leeds will need to be at their best and strongest in order to get anything from that game.
It’s clear that they’re a stronger team with Rodon in the eleven so they’ll have a better chance at sealing the three points with him instead of Cooper starting.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that big European clubs have been keeping tabs on a Whites player for a while and are still willing to sign him.
