Stepping up’ – S’purs provide positive injury update on first-team midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur has revealed that Giovani Lo Celso is now stepping up his rehabilitation at Hotspur Way.

Spurs have been hit with several injury blows to key attacking players over the last couple of weeks.

While Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon remain out with long-term injuries while Ivan Perisic joined the pair on the treatment table recently after suffering an ACL injury.

We learned on Wednesday that Brennan Johnson is expected to miss the clash against Luton Town and has also been left out of the Welsh squad for the upcoming international break (The Athletic).

To make matters worse, it has also emerged that Manor Solomon picked up an injury in training and is expected to be out of action for two to three months (Raz Amir).

Postecoglou needs all the attacking resources he can muster over the next few months, given the injuries that he is now dealing with. Both Lo Celso and Bryan Gil might have important roles to play during the upcoming run of fixtures.
