Chase Young immediately made his presence felt in the 49ers win over the Jaguars this past week.

He was exactly as advertised. The impact made both as a pass rusher and a run defender was thorough. And that was barely his first game in a 49ers uniform, so imagine the damage he will do once he gets settled in over time.

He’s already aiding in freeing up the rest of the players on the defensive line and helps create a mismatch nightmare when lined up next to Nick Bosa. There’s very little to doubt that Young will continue to be an excellent impact player for the 49ers. He gives them the best duo edge rush the 49ers have had in 2019 when Dee Ford was in the fold.
