Kevin Stefanski on Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett: ‘He’s the defensive player of the year’
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Kevin Stefanski got on his soap box Monday, lobbying for defensive end Myles Garrett.
“He’s the defensive player of the year, I don’t think it’s close,” Stefanski said Monday. “The way Myles is playing is unbelievable, he’s the best player on the best defense in the league.”
Stefanski admitted he’s “frustrated” that Garrett doesn’t get more calls from the officials.
Garrett is a 4-time Pro Bowler but has never won NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
The head coach also said he had “no major injury news, everybody is day to day.”
Pro Bowl guard Joel Bitonio had to leave Sunday’s win over Chicago with a “low back injury.”
Sunday the 9-5 Browns visit Houston at 1 p.m. on 19 News.
