This is a big season for Yves Bissouma at Tottenham Hotspur after he struggled under Antonio Conte following his transfer from Brighton last summer.

Too much time in the treatment room, lack of form and his struggles to work in Antonio Conte’s system, all made things difficult for the £25 million signing (Sky Sports).

But with Tottenham currently in Australia for their pre-season tour, Yves Bissouma showcased great skill and ball-carrying ability during a small-sided game.

Picking the ball up from deep, he skipped past one teammate, whilst showcasing quick feet again to go past another, before playing a delightful ball down the channel for Son Heung-min.

The Spurs speedster played the ball across the penalty area for Harry Kane, who else? To score at the second time of asking.

It’s a positive and much-needed sign that Bissouma is showing because his style will suit Ange Postecoglou’s system far better, as you can watch his magic below.

Playing and being deployed in a two-man midfield just didn’t work for Bissouma last season, nor for a number of his teammates.

But now it’s a fresh start, under a more attack-minded coach, who will get the best out of his ability and bring out that form he produced during his days at Brighton.

Not only that, but the arrival of James Maddison will also help because it will make Bissouma’s task a lot more simpler rather than having to focus on both attacking and defending because there was a lack of creative talent in the midfield last term
