£350,000-A-WEEK WINGER OFFERED TO TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN JANUARY
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly get the chance to sign Jadon Sancho from Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United in the January transfer window.
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho was linked with Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur linked with summer move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho
The Independent reported in early July that United manager Erik ten Hag wanted to offload Sancho, and that the £350,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international winger had been offered to Tottenham.
It was also in early July when The Daily Star claimed that Tottenham were interested in securing the services of the 23-year-old.
The Daily Star is now reporting that United plan to get rid of Sancho for good.
Manchester United want Jadon Sancho gone
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners plan to send the youngster out on loan in January with a view to making the move permanent next summer.
The report has claimed that the relationship between Sancho and United manager Erik ten Hag has broken down over training ground issues that have been played out in public.
We do not think that Tottenham should try to do a deal for Sancho.
While the former Manchester City prospect is only 23 and has huge potential, he has not been a huge success for United in the Premier League.
Given the wages that Sancho is on at the moment and the big transfer fee that United would want for him, it would be a very expensive and risky deal for Spurs.
Sancho has made 58 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The winger has scored nine goals and given six assists in those games.
Tottenham’s main objective this season is to finish in the top four of the Premier League, while United are looking to win the title.
