BREAKING NEWS: Blackburn Rovers are very close to land Crystal Palace Talent

Blackburn Rovers Still In Mix For Crystal Palace Talent

Blackburn Rovers are still in the mix for Crystal Palace attacking prodigy Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Rak-Sakyi, 20, came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and joined the Eagles academy in 2019.

He broke into Crystal Palace’s first team in 2021 but has only managed to make two senior appearances for the Selhurst Park outfit so far.

He was shipped out to Charlton Athletic last season and became an integral part of the Addicks’ League One campaign.

Rak-Sakyi is the subject of intense interest from Blackburn, Hull City and Leicester City, with the Tigers zeroing in on the England Under-20 international.

Hull have already lodged a bid for the attacking prodigy, albeit it is also claimed that the Riversiders are still pursuing the highly-rated forward.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side are keen on bringing Rak-Sakyi to Ewood Park this summer, with the Championship outfit eyeing further additions to their upfront options.

The Riversiders kicked off their league campaign on a high and are hoping that Rak-Sakyi’s inclusion in their squad will provide them with an attacking filip.

Now it remains to be seen whether their pursuit of the 20-year-old attacker will be firmed up in the coming days.

Max Aarons is close to completing a £7m move to Premier League outfit Bournemouth

But Bournemouth made a late move on Wednesday – with the initial fee understood to be £7million rising to £12m – to scupper Leeds boss Daniel Farke‘s hopes of a reunion with Aarons, who he gave a senior debut to at Norwich

Southampton held a long-standing interest and also struck a deal with the Canaries – following Tino Livramento’s move to Newcastle – but could now also miss out.

The 20 year-old has joined as a long-term replacement for Kieran Trippier and was happy to start out as the 33-year-old’s backup as he continues working his way back to peak fitness following his lengthy injury-related absence.

Meanwhile, Aarons had been expected to leave Carrow Road this summer.

Aarons was part of the England squad that claimed victory at the U21 European Championship

At just 23 he has made 213 appearances for Norwich and scored six goals since making his debut under Farke in 2018

He helped England Under-21s win Euro 2023 this summer – the first time in 39 years the Young Lions had won the tournament.

The Canaries had signed Jack Stacey on a free, after he left Bournemouth, in preparation for Aarons leaving.
