Cardiff City star Aaron Ramsey in bullish mood ahead of Sheffield Wednesday visit
Xisco Munoz’s Sheffield Wednesday side are the only second tier team yet to register a point this season after defeats to Southampton, Hull City and Preston North End
Wales captain Aaron Ramsey has Sheffield Wednesday in his sights this weekend. The former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder made a fairytale return to Cardiff City this summer.
But the 32-year-old and his colleagues are still searching for their first league win of the season. After an encouraging opening day performance away at Leeds, where they were 2-0 up only to see the hosts snatch a point, the Bluebirds have lost back-to-back games against QPR and Leicester.
Xisco Munoz’s side visit the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday still searching for their first point of the season. Speaking after last week’s narrow defeat to the high-flying Foxes, where he scored a superb long-range effort, Ramsey said: “If you look at the first half against Leeds, we were very well organised, created a few chances and took them.
“Against Leicester, I thought we frustrated them a lot and had a bit more quality as well. There was more belief as well to go and hurt them, but we just couldn’t quite nick that second goal to really stamp our authority on the game.
