Chicago Bulls could get eliminated from the In-Season Tournament on Tuesday

The fate of the Bulls in the In-Season Tournament may be decided as early as Tuesday night.

The Chicago Bulls may not be playing on Tuesday night but could still get eliminated from the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament if several results occur. In a season where they have stumbled to a 5-10 start, this development may add another layer of disappointment for Bulls fans.

Winless in the In-Season Tournament

The league is staging the In-Season Tournament to drum up interest in NBA games during the early part of the season. However, excitement in the Windy City could be short-lived as the Bulls are still winless in two tournament games so far this season, falling to the Brooklyn Nets and then the Orlando Magic. This places them at the bottom of Group C in the Eastern Conference.

Although Chicago still has two more games left on their In-Season schedule—versus the Toronto Raptors on Friday and the Boston Celtics next week. However, the Bulls could be eliminated from further contention if these results happen on Tuesday night:

The Philadelphia 76ers defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Indiana Pacers thwart the Atlanta Hawks.

Eight teams will advance to the knockout stage of the tournament, which will be played in Las Vegas. The top team of each of the six groups and the best second-place squads in each conference will earn berths in the knockout round, which tips off on December 4.

Aside from the urgent need to improve their play, the Bulls may also need lady luck to smile on them. The Celtics currently lead Group C with a 2-0 slate.
