Sixty-eight free agent signings available to Coventry City after transfer deadline
The latest Coventry City news from CoventryLive as clubs are still able to sign free agents despite the transfer window now being closed
The summer transfer window may have closed but that doesn’t mean that Coventry City can’t sign new players, with the club still able to snap up free agents.
The Sky Blues saw a total of 11 new players come in during the summer window with 14 going the other way, leaving Mark Robins’ squad a little lighter in numbers than it was last season. The manager wanted two more on transfer deadline day – a central defender and midfielder – but ended up with just one, with Barnsley centre-back Liam Kitching joining for £4.5million on a four year deal.
The free agent market does, though, give clubs a chance to fill any holes that they may have in the squad outside of the transfer window.
