Tigers boss Rosenior has now given an update on his team’s pursuit of the Villa duo.

“Yes,” Rosenior told Hull Live when asked if anything was close. “There are things bubbling away and it’s been widely reported about a few players that we could be interested in.

“Hopefully, we get some good news on those really soon. I understand other people talking about it but I prefer to talk about players when they’re done, when they’re signed.

“We’ve worked really hard to identify, not just in that position, or the forward position. We’ve got other things going on in the goalkeeper situation, another really exciting thing going on in the midfield position that we want to add to as well, so if we get those players in the worry and fear of the transfer window, it’ll be understood why we’ve done it this way.”
