EFL confirm Hull City squad list as Jaden Philogene omission explained

Liam Rosenior now knows the makeup of his squad after a hectic transfer window closed a week ago

Hull City’s squad for the 2023/24 Championship season has been confirmed by the EFL following the closure of the summer transfer window.

City signed 10 players during a busy window with four arriving on deadline day last Friday as Liam Rosenior put the finishing touches to his squad until January at least.

In came Liam Delap, Jason Lokilo, Ruben Vinagre, Aaron Connolly, Scott Twine, Ryan Allsop, Jaden Philogene, Tyler Morton, James Furlong and Bora Aydinlik, while a host of players including Brandon Fleming, Ryan Longman, Oscar Estupinan, Benjamin Tetteh and Ryan Woods all moved out.

A total of 22 players were included in the squad list, with 28 named in the Under-21 contracted players list including the likes of Harry Vaughan, James Furlong and Bora Aydinlik, along with Xavier Simons, Yuriel Celi, Harry Wood, Will Jarvis, Jake Leake and Harvey Cartwright, all of whom are out on loan currently.

High-profile signing Philogene was not included in either list, but Hull Live has been told the EFL requested a minor amendment to his contract which has been done and resubmitted.
