Everton ‘make offer’ for Tottenham flop Postecoglou wants to sell, as Dyche eyes solution to big problem
Everton have reportedly made a bid for exit-linked Tottenham centre-back Japhet Tanganga as Sean Dyche looks to bolster his defence.
The Toffees have lost all three of their Premier League matches so far this season, conceding six goals in the process.
Errors at the back have led to a chunk of those goals, so it’s no surprise to see Dyche looking to sign a new centre-back before the transfer window slams shut on Friday.
Tanganga is one player that Tottenham are willing to let go, too. The London club are looking to generate as much cash as possible in the final few days of the window to help fund their own business.
As previously reported by TEAMtalk, Luton Town have also considered making a loan offer for Tanganga this summer. It now seems, however, that Everton have leapfrogged the Hatters in the race for his signature.
Given the recent performances of Michael Keane and James Tarkowski, the 24-year-old could prove to be a good addition for the Toffees.

Everton submit offer for Tanganga
According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Everton have now ‘made an offer’ to Tottenham for Tanganga. It isn’t revealed how much their bid is worth, however.
The centre-back, who can also play right-back if needed, has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs despite showing promise early in his career.
As mentioned, Tanganga isn’t in Ange Postecoglou’s plans at the moment. The manager looks set to operate with a centre-back pairing of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, while also selecting either Pedro Porro or Emerson Royal at right-back.
Last season, the former England under-21s international made just seven appearances across all competitions for Tottenham, totalling only 343 minutes of action.
As a result, Tanganga is looking to secure a move away from Tottenham in favour of more regular playing time elsewhere, so could potentially join Everton
