The transfer window has closed, bringing an end to the summer’s business for the Terriers – and needless to say they didn’t get everything done that they wanted after being unable to bring in the elusive centre-forward signing they had been chasing all summer.
Neil Warnock had accurately predicted that deadline day would be a damp squib despite Huddersfield Town’s best efforts, leaving them with four new signings all told over the summer while 23 players with first-team experience have departed – though how many of them would have even got a game had they stayed is another matter.
