‘Amazing’: Fabio Silva drops possible hint about his future on Instagram after shining vs Luton

Fabio Silva last night reacted on Instagram after playing for Wolves at Molineux for the first time in 15 months.

The striker was handed a start by Julen Lopetegui against Luton Town, in the club’s penultimate pre-season friendly.

The game finished 0-0, a scoreline Wolves fans have become all too familiar with in recent times.

But there were quite a few positives to take from game.

Wolves created a lot of chances, but ultimately just couldn’t find that decisive finish.

Silva, 21, had a number of chances to score.

But the fact he didn’t does not matter too much.

Because his whole performance was really encouraging, and it is clear that his loan spell has done him the world of good.

And after the game, Silva sent a message on Instagram that may well point to him staying at the club for 2023/24.

Fabio Silva delighted to return to ‘amazing’ Molineux

After the game, fans at Molineux chanted Silva’s name as the young striker lapped up the appreciation.

It was a fully deserved acknowledgement from the fans, some of whom may well have been attempting to convince the youngster to stay at the club by chanting for him.

Recently, there has been speculation about Silva.

There have been suggestions that he wants to leave, and also claims that Wolves would be willing to listen to offers.

But the former FC Porto man posted on Instagram last night and perhaps suggested that he may be sticking around.

He wrote: “Very happy to play again in this stadium!! Amazing environment, thank you.”

Silva ended his message with an orange heart emoji.

A positive sign over Silva

Silva was fantastic against Luton, and his performance followed a very good cameo against Celtic.

Silva is still very young, but he is definitely much better for having been out on loan.

Raul Jimenez is no longer at the club, and this could now be his time.

Lopetegui has been getting a good look at him in pre-season training.

Wolves are still dogged by financial issues which could end up dictating things. But hopefully, there is something in Silva’s message and he will not be leaving the club.
