BREAKING NEWS: excellent superstar has just sent a two-word message to Newcastle fans after injury blow

Sven Botman has just sent a two-word message to Newcastle fans after injury blow

Newcastle United were without Sven Botman on Saturday evening, and the Dutchman was a big miss.

The 23-year-old was unavailable for the trip to Brighton And Hove Albion due to ankle injury that he had sustained during the 2-1 loss to Liverpool a week earlier.

There was hope that Botman was actually going to be fit for the game against the Seagulls, but that proved not to be the case.

Instead, there is now a chance that he will actually miss Newcastle’s next game against Brentford as well. That would be a major blow, as Fabian Schar is also a doubt as it stands.

Eddie Howe’s squad is already being stretched, and now Botman has delivered a message to Toon fans following an injury setback.

Sven Botman says he will be ‘back soon’ from injury

While a lot of Newcastle players are off to represent their country, that is not the case for Botman. Instead, he is staying on Tyneside.

The centre-back has provided an update from the club’s training ground, as he gets to work on his recovery.

Botman has shared a video on his Instagram story of him at the training ground having his lunch, alongside the words ‘back soon’.

Hopefully he is back soon, as Botman was a big miss on Saturday night. The combination of Schar and Dan Burn really struggled, with neither being able to get to grips with Evan Ferguson.

Whether or not Botman would have fared any better is up for debate, but Howe will be eager for him to return from injury as soon as possible.

Our next game is on September 16th against Brentford. Botman will be looking to return for the clash with the Bees at St James’ Park.

Three days later, Newcastle begin their Champions League journey away to AC Milan. Botman will be really keen to play in that fixture, and fans will be desperate for him to feature at the San Siro – especially given the fact we beat Milan to his signature last summer.

Botman says he will be ‘back soon’. Hopefully it’s very soon.
