Manchester United must do four things vs Tottenham - Manchester Evening News

TOTTENHAM NOW CONSIDERING 25-YEAR-OLD ATTACKER, BUT HE COULD BE OUT OF THEIR PRICE RANGE

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a late move for Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.

That is according to a report from The Independent.

It suggests that Tottenham could swoop for Eberechi Eze if they fail to land Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson.

However, the same outlet claims that the 25-year-old may be out of Spurs’ price range, with Palace possibly set to ask for more than £60m for their player.

Tottenham are not the only club who have been linked with Eze this summer. As per the Daily Mail, Manchester City have also considered making a move for him during the current transfer window.

If Ange Postecoglou wants to bring in another attacker before the market shuts, which does look to be the case, then Eze is definitely a player who should be on his list.

The England international can play behind the striker and out wide. He can also be deployed in the middle of the park, which is an added bonus.

Most importantly, though, Eze has shown that he can score goals, netting 10 times in the Premier League last season.

During the 2022/23 campaign, he made 1.9 dribbles per game as well, which was the second-highest average in Roy Hodgson’s squad (WhoScored).

All in all, Eze is quite a threatening attacker, perhaps not a £60m attacker, but he is undoubtedly someone who can cause defences problems.

Thanks to Son Heung-min, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, Tottenham already have an exciting attack. But it could get even more lively if Eze is added to the mix.

A move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though, looks unlikely. Johnson appears to be the north London club’s priority right now, while Palace’s valuation could be a problem. A lot will need to happen for this transfer to materialise.
