Transfer deadline day LIVE: All the updates on the latest moves as deadline nears
Genk winger Mike Tresor is in England to complete a medical with Burnley ahead of a loan move.
The potential transfer has been ongoing for weeks but is set to come to a conclusion before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday.
The Clarets will have an option to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the season.
Tresor has nine goals and 33 assists for Genk over the last two seasons and will become the fifth Belgian in Vincent Kompany’s squad.
Kompany still wants a striker – with links to another Belgian in former Liverpool favourite Divock Origi – and a central midfielder before the window closes.

Origi has been touted to return to the Premier League before the end of the window, with Sheffield United reportedly keen to take him on loan from AC Milan.
But the Burnley boss featured alongside the attacker for the Belgian national team during his playing career and will be hoping that can help his side secure a deal ahead of the transfer deadline.
Origi scored 41 goals in 175 appearances during his time at Anfield, helping Liverpool win the Premier League and Champions League.
He found the net just twice last season after moving to the San Siro in June 2022.
The 28-year-old only started 10 Serie A fixtures across the entire season, meaning the offer of more playing time at Turf Moor could be appealing.
Burnley have already signed 14 new players this summer after securing an immediate return to the Premier League under the stewardship of Kompany.
They are yet to register a league win this season though, losing against both Manchester City and Aston Villa.
The Clarets return to action on Saturday when they host Tottenham at Turf Moor.
