Ipswich Town: Conor Chaplin on target in friendly draw with West Ham
Ipswich Town’s behind-closed-doors friendly at West Ham finished in a 1-1 draw this afternoon.
Conor Chaplin netted from the penalty spot for the Blues, with ex-Town left-back Aaron Cresswell scoring a free-kick for the hosts at their Rush Green training ground.
Ipwich currently have seven players away on international duty, but the vast majority of those left behind got some minutes today.
West Ham gave minutes to trialist Jesse Lingard, while senior players such as Lukasz Fabianski and Danny Ings were also involved.
It’s not clear whether Town trialist Axel Tuanzebe featured for the Blues. The Daily Mail has today reported that the 25-year-old former Manchester United defender is in talks with La Liga side Real Betis.
