Andoni Iraola provides AFC Bournemouth injury update
ANDONI Iraola hopes he can welcome back numerous players from injury after the September international break.
Cherries have three fixtures remaining, against Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford in the Premier League, as well as Swansea City in the Carabao Cup, before domestic fixtures take a pause for two weeks.
Iraola’s squad is currently stretched, with seven players missing Saturday’s loss at Liverpool due to injury, although Lloyd Kelly did return.
It is looking increasingly likely that none of the septet will return before the international break with Ryan Fredericks (calf), Adam Smith (muscle), Lewis Cook (hip), Alex Scott (knee), Emiliano Marcondes (foot), Marcus Tavernier (knee) and Dango Ouattara (ankle) all nursing knocks.
Since losing at Liverpool, Cherries have signed midfielder Tyler Adams, but he too is out, with a hamstring injury.

When asked when he feels Smith could return to action, head coach Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It is different cases, but in my head right now, we have the national team break as a good moment where we could recover some of the players we have out.
“Especially Tavernier, Adam Smith and Lewis Cook. Dango will be hard I think, but we’ll try with him also.
“But it is still more than two weeks until the break. It could be a good moment to recover, but still we have three games to play.”
