Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence's Week 16 status not looking good with latest practice update

Jaguars HC Provides Latest Update On Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been up and down this season.

Notably, Trevor Lawrence has had some health issues during the second half of the campaign, and that obviously hasn’t done much to help their winning cause.

With that in mind, the fans will definitely hope that he’s back on the field on Sunday, but his status still seems to be up in the air.

Trevor Lawrence #16 of the Jacksonville Jaguars looks to pass during the fourth quarter against the Indianapolis Colts at EverBank Stadium on October 15, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Doug Pederson recently confirmed that Lawrence will partake in practice today, even though he’s still under the league’s concussion protocol and hasn’t been cleared to play, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Still, the fact that he feels good enough to practice in full should be a positive and encouraging sign about his availability ahead of their must-win contest vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Jaguars are still in control of their destiny and should be able to run away with the AFC South banner for the second year in a row.

Yet the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts are still both breathing down their necks, knowing that the division could still be up for grabs and that they still have a chance to make the playoffs.

That’s why the Jaguars cannot afford another setback.
