Campbell has impressed for St Mirren’s youth sides and for Scotland’s U16s and U17s in the last 12 months and is regarded as one of the best young prospects in Scotland.
Burnley see Campbell as a potential star in the making and hope he can develop into a future first-team player at the club
The 17-year-old is likely to link up with Burnley’s U18s and U21s initially before hoping to breakthrough into the first-team plans of Clarets first-team manager Vincent Kompany.
