Liam Rosenior makes exciting Hull City claim as Tigers prepare for Coventry and Leeds
The Tigers have won three and drawn one of their five league games so far
Liam Rosenior believes Hull City are finding their rhythm at the start of the new Championship season as his players enjoy some time off during the international break.
Last Saturday’s excellent 1-0 win at Leicester City capped a fine first five games of the league campaign, adding to victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers.
Their only blot on an otherwise impressive copybook was the controversial 2-1 defeat at Norwich City on the opening day, but it was City’s first win at the King Power Stadium since 2008 that really captured the imagination.
Liam Delap’s first half goal was enough to end the Foxes’ winning start and see City keep their place in sixth spot going into the first break of the season.

City’s credentials will be further tested when they return next Friday night with a home double-header against Coventry City and then Leeds United, before games with Stoke City, Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town and Millwall going into next month’s internationals, but for now, Rosenior is happy with the progress his side are making.
“We were better with the ball, we’re starting to find our rhythm. There were times last season – I remember Middlesbrough away when we lost 3-1. The next step for this team was to go away from home, play this way and win and we’ve done that,” the Tigers boss told Hull Live.
“Hopefully it will give the lads – and I’ll give them some deserved time off, some of the lads will go away with their international teams – it leaves us in a really good place.
“Ten points from the first five games, we have aims and ambitions this season but there’s a long way to go. Every game in the Championship is so difficult.”
