Liverpool Midfielder In Championship Tug Of War

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton is the subject of a Championship bidding war, ahead of Friday’a deadline, according to journalist Baz Cooper.

The 20-year-old had a successful loan stint in the Championship last season but is reportedly set to return to the second tier on loan before the window concludes this week.

Who is Tyler Morton?

The midfielder was a product of the Liverpool academy, rising through the ranks at Anfield. He spent last season on loan at Ewood Park with Blackburn Rovers, where he made 40 Championship appearances whilst providing two assists.

Morton has also represented England at U20s level but is yet to progress further, although another season in the Championship will certainly allow him to excel this season.

Has anyone been linked?

According to journalist Baz Cooper, Hull City are one of the sides that have been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old. However, there is plenty of other interest in his services, before the window closes this week.

A strong start from the Tigers

Despite an opening day loss to Norwich City and an early cup exit, Hull have picked up seven points from their last three matches, including wins against both Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers.

Morton is a youngster with a lot of potential he excelled in the Championship last season and I expect him to kick on again this season.

It will be interesting to see which side he moves to this summer, as I really believe he can have a major effect on whatever side he joins. Hull have had a busy summer but Morton would be the icing on top of a very successful cake for the Championship side, although I’m certain Blackburn and many other clubs will be hopeful of spoiling the party.
