Liverpool youngster reveals why Hull City were brave in win at Leicester
The talented midfielder was one of four deadline day arrivals at the MKM Stadium
Tyler Morton’s first taste of life as a Hull City player started in some style with the Liverpool loanee watching his new teammates beat top-of-the-table Leicester City on Saturday.
Morton, who joined on deadline day from the Anfield club, joined up with Liam Rosenior’s squad at the team hotel on Friday shortly after his deadline day move was confirmed.
Along with fellow deadline day arrivals James Furlong and Bora Adyinlik, the trio watched on as Liam Delap scored a first half winner to stun the majority of the 31,000 inside a sweltering King Power Stadium and give City a third win in their first five games.
The 20-year-old midfielder admits he was impressed with what he saw from City, as he gets to grips with his new surroundings at the MKM Stadium.
“I was very impressed,” added told Tigers+. “It’s clear to see that there’s a family feel throughout the club which is lovely. I thought the boys were brilliant from start to finish. I thought we were the better side and played some brilliant football.
We were very brave going away to Leicester and playing out from the back which is key to our game. It was excellent to watch.”
The Liverpudlian, who impressed on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season, will hope to get his first taste of action in the black and amber next Friday when City return to action against Coventry City under the MKM Stadium lights, and it’s an occasion he’s relishing.
“I’m looking forward to playing at the MKM Stadium in front of all the supporters,” he said. “I remember how good they were when I played here with Blackburn. A full season here is going to be brilliant for me. I’m really excited to play in front of the supporters and showcase what I’m about. I’m itching to get going and can’t wait for the season to fully start for myself.”
