Luton Town – Good Is The Supporters Verdict And A View I Concur With

It seems an age since the summer transfer window slammed firmly shut and it’ll be interesting to see how much business the Hatters conduct in the next window.

It is fair to say that the summer transfer window activity was far deeper than any other window in recent years.

After climbing into the Premier League, the Hatters hierarchy had to make sure that the club followed its principles and did not spend wildly in order to retain our top-flight status but, sensibly, brought in a dozen or so players, at sensible prices, to ensure our financial future remains secure and the promised land, Power Court, becomes a reality, a reality that, in itself, should secure the clubs future.

However, while congratulating the recruitment team on their agility and ability to bring in a dozen players, a little piece of me cannot help thinking that the wonderful team spirit that has driven us forward has been slightly reduced, too many faces to integrate at the same time being my fear.

With three Premier League games played, we’ve yet to register a point, but once that togetherness, I’ve previously hinted at, becomes a reality, I remain confident that Luton Town can, and will, surprise a few of those pundits who have already written us off.
