Ipswich Town transfer window review: League One hero and Premier League youngsters on loan bolsters Kieran McKenna’s squad at Portman Road

The window did indeed slam shut at 11pm to bring down the curtain on yet another busy summer of ins and outs at Portman Road.

With no incomings on deadline day, this meant that Town concluded the window with six incomings (three permanent and three on loan) and 12 departures (eight permanent and four on loan).

After promotion to the Championship, it was always going to be crucial that the board at Portman Road invested in and developed the side to compete with clubs who are fueled with parachute payments and previous Premier League experience.
