Neil Warnock hoping Ben Wiles can bring Huddersfield Town what they've most lacked - YorkshireLive

Ben Wiles in line for debut in predicted Huddersfield Town line-up to face West Brom

Unless the Terriers spring a surprise on transfer deadline day, Neil Warnock will need to work with his existing squad for Saturday afternoon’s trip to the Hawthorns

Last Saturday’s defeat at home to Norwich suggests that it’s time to make some changes to the Terriers side after starting the same line-up for the past three games.

Ben Wiles can be expected to come straight into the side after making the move from Rotherham United just slightly too late to be involved at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend; Brahima Diarra is likely to make way for him.

It’s difficult to see how Neil Warnock could make changes to his back four with Tom Lees still out injured and Josh Ruffels in good form – unless the manager were to switch to a back five with one of Ruffels or Yuta Nakayama as the left-sided centre-back, the other at left wing-back, and Sorba Thomas mirroring on the other side

However, Warnock seemed reluctant to go that way against Leicester and Norwich, so we expect him to be equally so against a clinical West Brom side who scored four goals last time out. That would mean the back four remains as is, with Jonathan Hogg and Jack Rudoni joining Wiles in a midfield trio.

Delano Burgzorg once again showed glimpses of something from the bench on his home debut and could take any of the berths in the front three, but our guess is that Warnock will keep it the same again.
