Norwich City boss gives update on Kenny McLean amid Leeds United interest
The Whites have been linked with a move for the Scottish midfielder
Norwich City boss David Wagner has laughed off any speculation suggesting Kenny McLean will be joining Leeds United before the transfer window slams shut. The Whites have been linked with a move for the Scottish international and recent reports claim Daniel Farke’s side had a £4million bid rejected by the Canaries.
McLean wasn’t included in the Norwich City squad for their league Cup win over Bristol City in midweek, but Wagner has quashed any exit talk.
“When I can deny anything then it is Kenny McLean will not go to Leeds,” the German told the Pink Un. “100 per cent, no.
“No, we rested them and especially Kenny and Gunny because next week they are away with Scotland so I think it was a chance for them to rest. Gibbo had a little bit of problem with his calf, but no major issue and he will train tomorrow (Wednesday), like Gunny and Kenny as well.

“This is why they did not come with us. They should not spend the time travelling when they are away for two weeks with Scotland.”
Farke’s side have been linked with a move for Rangers’ midfielder Glen Kamara Celtic youngster Matt O’Riley, but Wagner won’t be seeing any more players leave Carrow Road this summer.
“I can’t give you a reliable answer (if we loan out players) because the window is still open,” he said. “I am ready to continue with this squad and I’m ready for the fight.
