OFFICIAL: Tottenham Hotspur secure the signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest for £47.5 million

They get their valuations based on the number of years left on a player’s contract. This latest study came out at the end of August and it now claims that Forest have three players worth equal to Johnson.

Morgan Gibbs-White, Danilo and deadline-day signing Ibrahim Sangare are the three players. The study shows that the trio are all on par with Johnson in terms of valuation.

Johnson was sold to Tottenham on transfer deadline day. He cost Spurs £47.5 million, with Forest choosing to cash in to allow the club to strengthen before the cut-off.

The 22-year-old has been a revelation for the Reds over the last two seasons. He scored 19 goals as the club won promotion and bagged eight times last season in the Premier League.

This latest study perhaps shows that there can be life after Johnson though. Gibbs-White, Danilo and Sangare are all currently valued at the same as the player who has just left.

Furthermore, Forest have other players who aren’t far behind. Anthony Elanga and Taiwo Awoniyi are close behind in the study.

Players like Gibbs-White, Elanga, Awoniyi and Divock Origi all know where the net is. They will be tasked with finding the goals that Forest need in order to progress.

Forest will hope to enjoy a smooth transition to life after Johnson. The squad is now well-stocked in every area and Steve Cooper could really enjoy some more success at the City Ground.
