Pat McAfee Praises ‘Massive Addition’ For The 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are playing at a Super Bowl level right now.
They don’t look anywhere close to the team that lost three games in a row, and they’re peaking at the right time.
With that in mind, former NFL punter Pat McAfee raved about Chase Young’s addition.
In his recent appearance on ESPN’s “First Take,” the former Indianapolis Colts player talked about how Young has taken the defensive line to a whole new level, allowing them to play free and physical football.
On top of that, he believes that the Niners are borderline unbeatable when they have OT Trent Williams and WR Deebo Samuel on the field.
McAfee stated that Williams and Samuel are the ones leading the team onto the field and are the heart and soul of the offense.
The Niners are going to have a shot at getting back at the Philadelphia Eagles for last year’s heartbreaking loss in the NFC Championship Game.
They are the best two teams in the NFC — and perhaps in the NFL — and this game on Sunday might as well be a preview of this season’s NFC Championship Game as well.
The Eagles have only lost one game and are three-point favorites right now.
Then again, with the Niners playing this way, it wouldn’t be shocking to see that line move to a pick’em by the time of kickoff.
Whatever the case, that’s going to be a must-watch game, and another test to see where these teams truly are ahead of the playoffs.
