Player has had ‘very good’ offer to leave Fulham – Silva opinion key for transfer decision

In the summer of 2022, Fulham signed Willian on a free transfer and offered him a one-year contract.

On July 17th, the Brazilian signed a new deal until 2024 with the Premier League side, and a few weeks later, claims from England and Brazil stated the winger had received an offer from Al-Shabab.

The transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes on Thursday and the Fulham player won’t be moving to the Middle East, according to iG Esporte.

The 34-year-old considered the proposal he received from Al-Shabab to be financially ‘very good’ and he was ‘very close’ to leaving the Premier League side in recent weeks.

However, the report states the operation has now stalled because the Saudi club weren’t able to find an agreement with Fulham, and the former Chelsea man ‘stays in England’.

Marco Silva is said to be behind the decision to keep Willian, who is a key player for him, and the website states the manager pushed the London club’s leaders to offer the attacker a new deal.
