Player ‘will be sold’ to Burnley – ‘Already completed’ medical with Kompany’s side
Anderlecht defender Hannes Delcroix ‘will be sold’ to Burnley, according to Monday’s Het Nieuwsblad.
The Jupiler Pro League side are working on carrying out a few more signings and are also focused on offloading some of their players. For the latter, they have already started the process.
It’s claimed the 24-year-old is getting closer to completing a move to Burnley and the deal will see the Belgian club collect €3m plus €2m bonuses.
In addition to this, Anderlecht will also be entitled to receive a percentage of the profit from the centre-back’s future sale.
The report states the Belgium international has ‘already completed’ his medical tests with Vincent Kompany’s side and is set to sign a three-year deal at Turf Moor. It looks like only the official announcement is missing for Delcroix to become a new Burnley player.
Delcroix was sidelined with a knee injury between March 2021 and January 2022. He made 36 appearances under Kompany, when the current Clarets manager was in charge at Anderlecht between 2020 and 2022.
A move to Burnley will see the player reunite with Kompany.
