BREAKING NEWS: Sensational Player now ready to jet out of Leeds for good in January as exit news drops

Wilfried Gnonto already has January plans to quit Leeds United as transfer exit news emerges

Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto may already be booking flights out of West Yorkshire for the January transfer window after news emerged that he is still pushing to quit.

Italian news outlet Napoli Calcio Live reported on 14 September that the 19-year-old talent wants to leave Elland Road to play in a “major” European league in January with a number of clubs in Serie A keen on

It is understood that Fiorentina and Sassuolo are two of the clubs who are in pursuit of Gnonto, who handed in a transfer request in the summer in order to force through a move to Everton but the Whites and Daniel Farke made their position on his future clear.

With Farke reintegrating him into his squad before the transfer deadline, it was suggested that all was forgiven and Gnonto would be silly to break that trust again after being given a second chance.

It remains to be seen if Everton will return with another bid in January but now all roads are leading to another Gnonto saga in January and given the Italian wonderkid’s desire to play at the elite level, that dream certainly won’t be cut short in a few months time.

The Italian’s wish to seal a Premier League return is certainly not going away any time soon, and it is totally understandable seeing as Gnonto can certainly be deemed a step above Championship level.

However, Farke and the club’s stance for the campaign has been made pretty clear and it’s up to the Italian wonderkid if he is to get his head down and deliver when Leeds United need it most in the coming weeks and months.

If Gnonto isn’t ready to knuckle down and help the Whites in their quest for promotion for the next few months at least, then he can certainly forget about seeking pastures new as the top clubs only desire players who are ready and consistently motivated to fight for their cause no matter the circumstances.

Sure, going back to Italy and playing in Serie A for Fiorentina and Sassuolo or even in the Premier League would probably keep him on Luciano Spalletti’s radar for the Italian national team a bit better than it would in the Championship at Leeds.

For now, though, it’s up to Gnonto whether he is willing to fight for the Elland Road fanbase despite not getting his wish during the summer. Some consistent and heavy influences throughout Leeds’ push the next few months could certainly attract even bigger suitors in the winter window.

However, Leeds simply cannot afford another saga-filled January transfer window and should a tempting offer arrive, they’ll be well inclined to accept.

Gnonto has certainly already kicked things off with this news, and he may already have plans to jet out of Leeds for good in January.

In other Leeds United news, a promising Elland Road injury update has emerged as three players are now set to return to action at The Den on Sunday.
