Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick will remain with Cardiff City till 2025.

Jak Alnwick, the goalkeeper for Cardiff City, has agreed to a new contract that would keep him with the team through 2025.

The 30-year-old player joined from Scottish Premiership team St Mirren last season with one year remaining on his contract.

He found it difficult to play frequently the previous season, but under new manager Erol Bulut, he has appeared in every game in the club’s Championship.

Swansea will have the chance to partially atone for their loss in the south Wales derby on Saturday when they play Cardiff City in the third round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

Swansea’s streak of four straight derby victories came to an end as Cardiff defeated them 2-0 in the Championship.

The clubs will come together on Tuesday at Swansea.com Stadium for a match between the U21 teams.
