Titans coach Mike Vrabel knows a lot about Texans, and vice versa

BREAKING: Tennessee Titans Former First Round Pick to Sit Again On Sunday; Ruled Out for Classic AFC South Showdown – Week 11

The Tennessee Titans reside in the basement of the AFC South, and things won’t get easier for them when they take on the first-place Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. To make matters worse, the Titans will again play without the services of wide receiver Treylon Burks, per Easton Freeze of Broadway Sports Media.

Treylon Burks, the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, has played just 16 of a possible 26 games since entering the league. The former Arkansas standout suffered a turf toe injury earlier in his rookie season, forcing him to the injured reserve (IR) for over a month. The six-foot-two wideout finished his inaugural NFL campaign with 33 receptions for 444 yards and one touchdown. He also ran four times for 47 yards

Burks has missed half of his team’s games in 2023 as well. He missed three games earlier this year with an LCL sprain while missing last week with a concussion. Week 11 will mark his fifth missed contest of the year. Burks has also seen a downtick in production this year, catching just 8-of-18 targets for 122 yards and no scores.

On Sunday, the Tennessee Titans will lean laboriously on star receiver DeAndre Hopkins again. The three-time All-Pro has 38 catches for 591 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this season. He has commanded a heavy target share since rookie quarterback Will Levis took over in Week 8. Hopkins has caught 11-of-26 targets for 215 yards and three scores. The Titans will also involve receivers Chris Moore, Kyle Phillips, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Moore played a season-high 83% of the offensive snaps last Sunday. However, the eight-year NFL vet has just one season over 300 yards receiving. Meanwhile, Phillips and Westbrook-Ikhine could make something happen in a pinch. The Titans benched starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill for Will Levis after the latter had performed well in his stead.
