49ers Already Have 5 Players Out Against The Cardinals
At this point in the 2023 NFL regular season, the San Francisco 49ers want to clinch the NFC West division title and keep the roster as healthy as possible for what could be a deep run in the NFL playoffs.
Heading into Week 15 against the lowly Arizona Cardinals, the 49ers are hoping to come out with a win on the road against a divisional opponent while also being able to get some of their players healthy.
On Friday, five of San Francisco’s players, most notably defensive tackle Arik Armstead, were ruled out for the matchup with the Cardinals in Arizona at State Farm Stadium.
Along with five players already being ruled out for Sunday’s game, the 49ers also have four players listed as questionable, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Even with all these players on the mend and the 49ers being shorthanded in Arizona this weekend, San Francisco should still come out on top against this division rival with relative ease, as the Cardinals have only won three games all season long.
The game the 49ers are circling on their schedule right now is the showdown with perhaps the best team in the AFC in the Baltimore Ravens, which will take place on Christmas Day at Levi’s Stadium.
That game may very well be a Super Bowl preview between the best team in the NFC against the best team in the AFC, with the winner having bragging rights and having made a statement heading into the NFL playoffs in a few weeks.
