His stunning performance Saturday came in response to criticism over his effort on the field this week and started off with an 86-yard touchdown during a tremendous first half for Pickens.

Pickens caught a pass from quarterback Mason Rudolph that covered only 10 yards through the air before he broke a tackle and tore away from the Bengals’ defense.

He celebrated by holding up a finger and saying ‘shhhh,’ to the countless fans that had spent the week criticizing him.

Pickens turned in several big plays during early portions of the game as he went on to end the first half of the game with three catches for 129 yards.

Those numbers gave him the most receiving yards in a single first half for any Steelers wideout since Antonio Brown recorded 150 receiving yards during a first half back in 2016.

The 22-year-old pass catcher continued his explosive game in the second half when he hauled in a deep pass and took it all the way to the end zone for a 66-yard touchdown.
