REPORT: Truth Revealed On Story Michael Jordan Said Colin Kaepernick ‘Sucks Now’ Wants To ‘Slap’ Former 49ers QB

A ridiculous-looking story appeared recently claiming former Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan went after former San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick has been the focus of many viral fake news stories this fall. The Dunning-Kruger Times ran a story Saturday that alleged Jordan said Kaepernick sucks now and that Jordan wished he could “slap some sense” into the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback:

“Kaep should just bite the bullet and give in,” he continued, “it makes me sad that he sucks now. Those lost years aren’t gonna rematerialize. All because he wouldn’t stand up for the song.

The song that is the very reason he’s free.” When asked why he thinks Kaepernick does it, the former Bulls great said, “there’s simply no way to know. He says it’s a protest or something, but for what? Someone said it was about black guys getting shot, and I can’t help but think…shouldn’t he be black if he’s gonna toss his career out over it?

Taija Perrycook with Snopes published an article to fact-check the viral story of Jordan going after Kaepernick. Per Perrycook, The Dunning-Kruger story received 836 likes on Facebook with 278 comments. Snopes found publishing by The Dunning-Kruger to be false, as the site writes satire:

“This item was not a factual recounting of real-life events. The article originated with a website that describes its output as being humorous or satirical in nature,”

Probably the only truth written on The Dunning-Kruger website is about their readership:

“Taters” are the conservative fans of America’s Last Line of Defense. They are fragile, frightened, mostly older caucasian Americans. They believe nearly anything. While we go out of our way to educate them that not everything they agree with is true, they are still old, typically ignorant, and again — very afraid of everything.
