Tottenham striker Harry Kane is reportedly demanding a significant sum of money in order to join Bayern Munich this summer.
According to a report from Football Insider, executives from the German club are arriving in the United Kingdom today for talks with Tottenham.
It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is willing to sanction the striker’s departure this summer.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga in recent weeks and the opportunity to join a big club like Bayern Munich will be hard to turn down.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are under increasing pressure to sell the player especially now that he is in the final year of his contract.
The player will be able to move on as a free agent next summer and Tottenham cannot afford that.
The north London giants should look to sell the player for a substantial amount of money this summer and invest the money into the playing squad.
The report from Football Insider claims that Kane could demand a contract worth around £600,000 a week to complete a move to the German club.
Meanwhile, Tottenham value the player at £100 million. Bayern Munich have already had two offers turned down for him and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to submit a third and improved offer closer to Tottenham’s valuation. In addition to that, they would have to agree to his astonishing contract demands as well.
The player currently earns £200,000 a week at Tottenham and it seems unlikely that the German club will agree to triple his wages.
