BREAKING NEWS: Tottenham set to terminate former fave’s deal, Ange wants him out

Hugo Lloris: Tottenham ready to terminate star’s deal as Postecoglou makes up his mind – sources

Hugo Lloris will not be reintegrated into the Tottenham squad with the club now expecting him to leave, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the 36-year-old could even see his contract terminated at Spurs in a bid to expedite the process of finding him a new home.

Lloris has less than one year left to run on his reported £100,000-a-week deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But Ange Postecolgou has made up his mind about the shot-stopper and will not count on him for the 2023-24 campaign.

New signing Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster are set to be the goalkeeping options for Spurs this season, and both have already been in action in the new campaign.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (5 September) that Lloris could now see options open up in Turkey and Saudi Arabia ahead of the end of their respective transfer windows.

The Saudi window is open until Thursday (7 September), while Turkey’s deadline is not until 15 September.

Lloris was the captain at Tottenham until last season when a combination of injury and bad form saw him replaced between the sticks by stand-in Forster.

He is now surplus to requirements just months after starting in goal for France in their World Cup final defeat against Argentina in Qatar.

Vicario has started all four of Spurs’ league games so far this season – conceding four goals and keeping two clean sheets.

Lloris joined the club from Lyon in 2012 and established a reputation as a firm fan favourite during his 447 appearances in a Tottenham shirt.

He also racked up 145 caps for France before announcing his international retirement earlier this year.
