Video: Tottenham star records two assists in one game for his country
Ivan Perisic had a hand in three of Croatia’s goals, directly setting up two as they romped to a 5-0 win against Latvia in the Euro qualifier clash at Stadion Rujevica on Friday.
Perisic has only started one game for Tottenham so far this season – the Carabao Cup clash against Fulham – but the wide-man has come on as a substitute on four occasions so far for Ange Postecoglou’s men and has produced some impressive cameos.

The 34-year-old served another reminder of his quality on Saturday in his 127th cap for his country, toying with Latvia right-back Roberts Savalnieks throughout the game.
The Tottenham man played a key part in creating the home side’s second goal as he produced a perfect cross into the box, which Bruno Petkevic failed to convert before the ball fell kindly to Luka Ivanusec.
Perisic then set up Croatia’s third, going past Savalnieks once again before setting up Petkevic with a tap-in at the far post. The former Inter Milan man also played a cute ball around the corner for Mario Pasalic to run onto and score the home side’s fifth of the night

I am not surprised that Perisic played all 90 minutes as he needed some competitive game time in his legs. The 34-year-old was clearly desperate for some minutes and showed his class once again.
While the Croat is not going to start for Spurs, there is no doubt that he is going to be a very useful weapon to bring on from the bench, particularly if there is some space to exploit with the opposition chasing the game.
