VERY USEFUL’: EVERTON TIPPED TO SECURE TRANSFER OF 25-YEAR-OLD SERIE A SUPERSTAR
Don Hutchison has backed Sean Dyche’s Everton to secure the transfer of Udinese superstar, Beto.
The former midfielder thinks Beto can be ‘very useful’ for an Everton side that have lost their opening two Premier League games, without scoring.
Hutchison did mention on Twitter that Beto isn’t prolific, but he is someone that would ‘bring midfielders higher up the pitch’.
The 25-year-old has started the new campaign by getting a goal and an assist for Udinese in the Italy Cup, whilst his team were well-beaten by Juventus on the opening day of the Serie A campaign.
Last season, he scored ten goals from 33 Serie A games, with Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham offered the chance to sign the player.
Nonetheless, with Everton in search of goals, this is what Hutchison posted to fans about
“Everton fans looking for a Centre Forward take a look at Beto at Udinese (been linked before),” said Hutchison.
“He showed last night v Juve. When given the right service he can be very useful (not prolific) but a decent target man that would bring midfielders higher up the pitch.”
Che Adams incoming?
The Toffees can’t afford to rely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin because he simply can’t stay on the pitch for 90 minutes.
Then there is Neal Maupay, his confidence is well and truly out of the window, hence why someone like Che Adams is being targeted.
He has started the season well for Southampton in the Championship, including scoring another late winner at Plymouth over the weekend, so at least if he does sign, he has confidence in his legs.
