Leicester in chase for special talent as January transfer window getting closer with mystery man inside the camp

Early days regarding the January transfer window, but still recruitment plans are done and we will again be following up on all movements and transfer talk as they arrive. Latest are that Leicester will have people in place for the 2023 Copa Libertadores final. Brazilian side Fluminense will play Argentine giant Boca Juniors. The Copa Libertadores is the South American equivalent of the UEFA Champions League.

The player to watch is Columbian international midfielder Jhon Arias. The 26 year old has been with Fluminense for the last three seasons as his importance for the team is pivotal.

Leicester are not the only club having a look at Arias, Leeds is also reported to be showing interest. We will see how this player search progress as it could be an interesting path to follow. We all know the uncertainty among a number of players during January and of course coming to the end of their contracts in the summer. We regard this link as a cold, with Leicester just one of many candidates interested in the Fluminense attacking midfielder, seen as a winger.

Another player that was reported on in the summer transfer window was Thai international Suphanat Mueanta. The 21 year old attacking midfielder has his eyes on a move to Leicester, but had to settle with a chance to impress on loan at OH Leuven,

He arrived at OH Leuven in mid September, but has not yet made his debut for his new team, being listed in the first team squad, but has not featured in first team action due to injury issues. He has only appeared once for OH Leuven II on September the 23rd vs. Gent II, result: 1-1. Mueanta was subsituted in the 83rd minute.

We certainly hope that the hard work put into a possible move for the Thai international Mueanta is worth it, as he hopefully will get the chance to shine alongside Nathan Opoku, on loan from Leicester, as the two players are interesting to follow up on.
